Gaststatte Fischhaus in Bad Kosen

Doesn't live up to the reputation of being way too close in the inn. Food really didn't taste good and there were three of us, no one tasted it !!!

Tables are close together, nobody has heard of Corona here. Lots of staff buzzing haphazardly through the dining room, the meal still lasted almost an hour. In terms of taste, well, no highlight, portions very clearly arranged, partly lukewarm, the dumplings when my wife was eating were handmade, but still frozen inside. Not expensive in terms of price, but in the upper third - it's not worth it.

A very idyllic restaurant. The menu offers a choice for every taste, and regional wines are also offered. The food tasted very good and the service was courteous and quick. The restaurant is definitely recommended.

The hot chocolate was outrageous for 4 euros. Just water and powder. The game goulash was unfortunately not particularly tasty and the red cabbage was still cold.

Unfortunately nothing special. The fried potatoes were sliced ​​boiled potatoes and probably tossed briefly in the pan. There was nothing more to it. This is definitely better for these food prices.

Nice location nice dishes and ideas but bad cook. Croquettes still frozen the tuna roasted dead and the combination of the sauce killed the whole taste of the tuna. Only salt, pepper and lemon juice belong on a fried tuna. Perhaps because the place was overcrowded and the cook couldn't keep up. But at the end of the day, the guest says to himself I have paid and I want a service for that.

Excursion restaurant located on the banks of the Saale with a beautiful terrace, easy to reach, especially for cyclists and hikers. The food is good, down-to-earth German cuisine at somewhat high prices, but tasty. Fast and friendly service.

Great menu with many interesting fish and several vegetarian options. Top price performance. Lovely place by the river Saale and a a crossing of several very good cycling routes.

We went to the fish house on a Sunday and were surprised that it was quite well filled. As we noticed the great location, right on the Saale. For a stopover by boat, it is definitely a very good location. :) we were greeted warmly and the staff was very attentive. We had tried everything from fish to schnitzel and pancakes and are very convinced of the quality and taste. Much is still done and with love. We can only recommend this sweet little restaurant.

Nice place. We were here on a Sunday in August 2018 with great weather. The restaurant was fully occupied inside and outside around noon. After a short wait we got a table inside. The service was very friendly and experienced despite the huge crowd. The selection of dishes is great. The taste of my fish dish was good. But I would have liked a more refined preparation for a restaurant called “Fischhaus”. It was too ordinary for me. So I would have got this dish in any restaurant. The decor in the restaurant corresponds to the 70s style and is nothing to look at.

In general good quality food. But not so focused on local fish as you may expect from the name. Also salads are good but not really seasonal. As a summary I would say very good food, but missing a little bit the focus on local products. Also the beer is not really local 🤣.
